I created this series based on symbols woven in Moroccan Berber rugs.  They tell stories and I found them to be so interesting that I was compelled to design a series of earrings based on some of the symbols.   This pair reflects the scissor shape, or “X.”  It represents metal workers or can also represent the female ready to conceive.  This pair is completely handmade from sterling silver, Miyuki seed beads and have ruby stones as a focal.   They are slightly over 2 ½ inches long, excluding the post.
